The Secret Gilis
The Peaceful Island, Gili Layar, is one of the South Gilis in Sekotong, on the southwest coast of Lombok Indonesia, between Gili Gede and Gili Asahan.
It can be reached by boat and takes approximately 1.5 hours from Bali (Padang Bai harbour). Tourists can also fly into Lombok airport and drive 1.5 hours to the nearest harbour and take a 15 minute boat ride to the island.
Gili Layar is becoming more and more well known amongst tourists who seek to travel there for its pristine white beaches, and colourful snorkeling.
